About Us

We are a small family living on an organic farm in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. We hold a deep sense of privilege at being able to live in such a naturally supportive landscape and share it through quietlness retreats with our cows. Dave, the author, papa and founder of the Being with Cows project, along with his wife and two young boys, invite you to come and experience all these forests and meadows and streams have to offer.

Support Our Farm

We raise our cows organically and as naturally as possible. They are not raised for meat nor milk, are not exploited in any way at all and spend their days wandering between woodland and field, expressing their full range of natural behaviour. They have access to 250 acres [100 hectares] of upland, hilly paradise and are simply seen as deeply loved members of the extended family. They are the absolute stars of our Being with Cows Retreats. For large parts of the year, they come and go, grazing and browsing their way across the land, yet at certain times, hay is needed to keep them in good condition.
